Moving in Slidell
Not every Slidell move is the same move.
Slidell is not one kind of move. A 1970s slab house in Cross Gates and a raised waterfront home on an Eden Isles canal are two completely different days of work, and the crews who quote them the same way are the ones who show up short-handed.
We have been working the east end of the parish for nine years. We know which streets a 26-foot truck fits down, which neighborhoods need the gate arranged in advance, and how much longer a job takes when the front door is a flight of exterior stairs above the garage.
Getting there
Twenty-five minutes from our warehouse
Our trucks and warehouse are at 4966 LA Hwy 22 in Mandeville — about 25 miles west of Slidell, a straight run down I-12. That is close enough that Slidell jobs are ordinary local moves for us, not out-of-area ones, and close enough that we can come back the same afternoon if something needs a second trip.
It also means storage is practical. If your closing dates do not line up, your things sit in our Mandeville warehouse rather than in a rented unit you have to load twice.

Elevated homes and exterior stairs
Post-Katrina rebuilding left a lot of Slidell up on piers, especially near the water. A flight of outside stairs between the truck and the front door changes the crew size, not just the truck size — we quote it that way instead of discovering it on move day.
Canal-front access in Eden Isles and Oak Harbor
Long carries from the street to the door, tight turnarounds at the end of a cul-de-sac, and boat lifts and piers to work around. We walk the approach before the ramp comes down.

The historic blocks around Front Street and Erlanger have no driveways to speak of and real parking limits. We stage the truck where it will not box in your neighbors, and shuttle with a smaller vehicle when the block will not take a full-size box truck.

Lakeshore Estates and Oak Harbor need gate access arranged ahead of time. Tell us the community and we handle the call — a crew sitting at a gate is still on the clock.
Moving across the Twin Span
